It is time to raise your voice for your rights. On the occasion of the International Human Rights Day, Civil – Center for Freedom calls for 30-day action to educate, celebrate, and speak up. We appeal to all people and civil society organizations to take action every day of December to improve human rights situation in the country and worldwide.

Anywhere you are, whatever your professional or societal status is, you can move things forward, to respect and demand respect for human rights and freedoms.

Talk to each other, organize or join forums on human rights issues, organize or visit events on human rights in your town, read and spread the Universal Declaration of Human Rights around. Human rights belong to every one of us for the simple fact that we are born.

RESPECT AND DEMAND RESPECT

The world of today is changing. Millions of people across the globe take the streets to demand human rights and freedoms. They use every mean available to make their voice heard, to make governments re-think their ways. That is possible only through personal commitment, solidarity and activism of each and every one of us. Everyone counts.

“To be human is to have rights. Every one of us is a representative of the humankind. Thus, every one of us has the duty to respect and demand respect for the human rights of every one of us. The duty of every human being is to tell those who don’t know, encourage and support those who are afraid, and defend those who are threatened and prosecuted. To be human is to commit and struggle for the wellbeing of every human being on Earth and beyond. All that makes us human. It is hard, but human.”- Xhabir M. Deralla, President of Civil – Center for Freedom.
